This preprint proposes a new formulation for the redshift–distance relation in cosmology. By treating the universe as a medium and simplifying the attenuation of light into a logarithmic form, the model explains the nonlinear growth of distance with increasing redshift using only a single coefficient. Correction terms for medium density, gravitational fields, wavelength dependence, and luminosity attenuation are discussed, allowing the model to be extended to more complex environments. Validation against Type Ia supernova and galaxy data shows smooth alignment with observational trends. The approach is intended as a complementary framework to ΛCDM, offering a simple and intuitive perspective for cosmological parameter estimation and interpretation of observational data. I am just an ordinary individual. For a long time, I have been organizing the thoughts I have kept in my mind little by little into writing. If someone reads my work and resonates with it, that alone gives me great strength. And even a small gesture of support, like a cup of cola, becomes a truly powerful source of motivation for me.
