Abstract This paper presents a study, based on experimental results, for the sectional capacity of Concrete‐Filled Stainless‐Steel Tubes (CFSST). An experimental database of axially loaded Circular CFSST stub columns published in the literature was summarized. The current design code in Europe, for composite columns, Eurocode 4, is considered in this study and its applicability for predicting the squash load of Circular CFSST was examined using the experimental data.
