Analysis uncovers children's marginal participation in Czech planning policies, suggesting more inclusion could improve outcomes.
Children's participation in planning is essential for their overall development, yet it remains widely overlooked in strategic governance. This article explores how children are involved into national and municipal strategic documents in Czechia. Using thematic analysis, it examines the contexts and topics in which children are mentioned. While findings show that children are largely absent or marginally included, notable exceptions are emerging. In particular, several municipalities—especially those with measured low quality of life—have begun involving children in the creation of strategic plans, influencing both the content and framing of children‐related issues within these documents.
