This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the importance of the formation of civic responsibility and patriotism as fundamental factors ensuring the stability and sustainable development of the state. Special attention is paid to the role of a teacher, including one who has experience of studying in his own educational institution, which is considered as a key subject of socialization and education of the younger generation. The article aims to identify and systematize the reasons why teachers can be qualified as defenders without weapons, as well as to assess their contribution to ensuring social security and stability. The historical analysis examines aspects of the formation of civic identity, as well as the mechanisms through which academic work contributes to strengthening national identity and social cohesion. The article searches for effective ways to form civic responsibility and patriotism among young people in the context of globalization and transformation of social values and focuses on the fact that the teacher, having a unique potential to influence the worldview and values of students, plays a key role in shaping their civic position and love for the patriotism. The purpose of the study is to identify an understanding of the importance of pedagogical activity in the context of ensuring national security and systematize the reasons why teachers can be qualified as defenders without weapons, as well as to assess their contribution to ensuring social security and stability.
