This project examines the role of forensic sciences in juvenile justice systems from a human rights-based perspective. It critically analyses the use of forensic evaluations in decision-making processes involving juveniles, with particular attention to international human rights standards, proportionality, rehabilitation, and the best interests of the child. The study adopts an interdisciplinary approach, combining legal analysis with insights from forensic psychology and criminology.
