The current research offers an integrated optimization method for an existing classroom building located in Morocco. The objective is to decrease energy consumption and the associated economic, environmental costs, and improve indoor thermal comfort. Twelve input parameters related to walls, the roof, and windows, including bio-based insulation, were considered. Dynamic thermal simulations were conducted with the aid of TRNSYS, which was connected to the MOBO optimization tool. The NSGA-II algorithm developed a series of optimal solutions as the Pareto front and then TOPSIS was used to identify the most balanced alternative. SRRC and PRCC coefficients were used to perform sensitivity analysis to identify the most influential factors. Results show that insulation thickness and strategic material placement contribute significantly to enhancing the performance of the building. The optimized designs reduced energy consumption by 61% and increased thermal comfort by 88% compared to a reference case.
