This study investigated the influence of fashion sustainability education on college students’ intentions to adopt sustainable apparel choices. Using a pre-test/post-test quasi-experimental design, the research involved two online learning modules focusing on sustainable practices. The findings revealed significant improvements in students’ attitudes, subjective norms, and knowledge regarding sustainable apparel following the intervention. These results underscore the pivotal role of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) educators in shaping consumer behavior by integrating sustainability concepts into curricula. The implications suggested that targeted educational strategies can empower students to make informed choices and advocate for sustainable consumption practices within the fashion industry, fostering a generation of responsible consumers.
