Analysis code searches for scalar dipole gravitational radiation in binary neutron stars, indicating novel emission patterns.
Analysis code for searching for scalar dipole gravitational radiation in LIGO data, as predicted by Complexity Binding Theory (CBT). This repository contains Python scripts that perform matched filtering on publicly available LIGO strain data from binary neutron star mergers GW170817 and GW190425. The analysis searches for a dipole radiation component at the fundamental orbital frequency (20–200 Hz), distinct from the standard quadrupole emission at twice the orbital frequency. Key Results: GW170817: Network SNR = 12.46 (H1+L1) GW190425: Network SNR = 20.90 (L1+V1) Template orthogonality to Einstein quadrupole: < 0.0002 Background test: Max noise SNR = 7.25 in 256 seconds Contents: Detection scripts for GW170817 and GW190425 Residual analysis after Einstein waveform subtraction Template orthogonality and background validation tests PSD-weighted spectral overlap analysis
