Generation Z (Gen Z) born between 1995 and 2010, is now the largest and most educated population cohort. Although there is significant body of research about Gen Z as well as about its health and the links of this cohort with sustainability (based on Google Scholar publications), there is not enough academic interest in the relationships with precision health and functional health. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study is based on bibliometric information combined with qualitative interviews with Gen Z Australian representatives and narrative review of this field. It concludes that Gen Z approach precision health and functional health through personalised nutrition. While this young cohort embraces innovation, it seeks transparency, privacy protection and proven outcomes.
