A rare case demonstrates optic disc drusen in a child with Goldenhar syndrome, implying the need for thorough eye examinations.
Ocular dermoid, craniofacial abnormalities, and vertebral deformities are the hallmarks of Goldenhar syndrome, also known as oculo-auriculo-vertebral spectrum. Although there is a wide range of ocular symptoms, connection with optic disc drusen (ODD) is quite uncommon. The necessity of a comprehensive fundus evaluation in syndromic children with facial asymmetry and ocular surface abnormalities is highlighted by our report of a rare instance of a young female with Goldenhar syndrome who presented with bilateral ODD.
