This analysis reveals the impossibility of the Oort Cloud, suggesting alternative explanations for cometary origins.
The Oort Cloud hypothesis proposes a spherical shell of icy bodies extending from 2,000 to 200,000 AU, containing trillions of objects serving as the reservoir for long-period comets. Despite seven decades of acceptance, no direct observational evidence supports its existence. This paper presents three independent arguments demonstrating the Oort Cloud's impossibility: (1) the observational asymmetry between the detectable Kuiper Belt and the undetectable Oort Cloud despite vastly superior detection capabilities for closer, brighter objects; (2) the trajectory problem wherein objects supposedly falling from gravitational binding show no signatures of that binding; and (3) the availability of a superior explanatory framework through Disentanglement of Phase Event (DOPE) ejecta mechanics within the Webb Mechanical Metric. The Oort Cloud functions not as a scientific hypothesis but as a placeholder to preserve models that cannot otherwise explain cometary origins.
