Case study reveals enhanced outcomes for atrophic acne scarring through combined RF microneedling and hyaluronic acid.
This case study examines the combined use of Morpheus8 fractional radiofrequency microneedling and Croma Revitalis, a non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid formulation, in treating atrophic acne scarring in a 35-year-old female patient. Despite previous therapies, including retinoids, chemical peels, and laser treatments, her scars remained prominent and continued to affect her psychological wellbeing. A tailored two-step protocol was implemented to address both dermal remodeling and hydration deficits. Morpheus8 stimulated neocollagenesis through controlled thermal coagulation, while Croma Revitalis provided immediate volumisation and improved elasticity. The patient demonstrated notable improvements in skin texture, scar depth, and overall appearance, with no significant adverse effects reported. This case highlights the value of combining RF microneedling with HA-based revitalisation to enhance outcomes in patients with persistent acne scarring.
