This analysis uncovers gem mineral formations in Siberia, suggesting important geological implications.
Fundamental categories of mineragenic analysis form the basis for developing gem minerageny, an important branch of modem non-ore geology. There are several tens of industrial gem deposits, hundreds of occurrences and thousands of mineralogical findings. They are grouped into 51 gem mineral (ore) formations to cover more than 60 gem varities and characterize the recovery of 19 geological formations. Gem specialization of endogenic geological formations and their recovery are different for Precambrian and Phanerozoic structures, platform and folded zones and zones of tectono-magmatic activization. A special place in Siberian gem minerageny is occupied by dunite-harzburgite formation of Caledonide ophiolite complexes and deep-seated inclusions of ultrabasic rocks in alkaline basalts and kimberlites.
