The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) possesses a diverse and resilient population. However, the region grapples with persistent challenges to peace and security, including clan feuds (rido), extrajudicial killings, and armed conflict. These issues perpetuate cycles of violence, hindering economic growth and disrupting the social fabric of the Bangsamoro community. Despite the efforts of the Bangsamoro Parliament and other stakeholders, these challenges necessitate bold and innovative solutions deeply rooted in the region’s unique cultural and religious context. This paper analyzes the underlying causes of these issues, proposes an Islamic faith-based approach to conflict resolution, and recommends actionable solutions to inspire legislative change. The aim is to support the Bangsamoro Parliament in shaping policies that promote lasting peace and security, fostering a region thriving under principles of moral governance.
