Novel methodology visually encodes genetic motif structure in exploratory art, implying new creative applications.
This document presents an original, constraint-based methodology for visually encoding genetic motif structure through a reproducible dinucleotide-driven mapping framework. Designed as a complementary modality to a previously disclosed constraint-based genetic sonification protocol (Sagar, 2026), the present system translates reduced dinucleotide sequences into standardized hue-class motif plates. Dinucleotide composition governs hue selection and motif-local saturation dominance, while single nucleotide composition modulates four orthogonal perceptual axes: brightness (A), spatial distribution (T), curvature (G), and texture density (C). The resulting outputs are non-representational scientific visualization artefacts intended for exploratory, artistic and conceptual use rather than diagnostic or clinical interpretation.
