The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of a novel dual-ring static CT system in enhancing pulmonary structure visualization.
Compared dual-ring static CT to conventional helical CT.
Evaluated visibility of fine pulmonary structures in scans.
Assessed radiation dose levels in both CT systems.
Enhanced visibility of fine pulmonary structures was achieved with static CT.
Radiation dose levels remained similar to those of conventional helical CT.
Abstract
Compared with conventional helical CT, the prototype stationary multisource CT system improved the visibility of fine pulmonary structures while maintaining similar radiation dose levels.
