This project describes a randomised, parallel, two-arm, examiner-blind experimental study approved by a Research Ethics Committee, designed to compare the effects of isolated neurodynamic mobilisation versus neurodynamic mobilisation combined with myofascial techniques on sciatic nerve neurodynamics in asymptomatic individuals. Asymptomatic adults aged 18 years and over will be randomly allocated to one of two intervention groups: (1) isolated sciatic nerve neurodynamic mobilisation or (2) combined neurodynamic mobilisation and myofascial manual therapy techniques, and will undergo pre- and post-intervention assessments on the same day. Primary outcomes will include ultrasound imaging measures of sciatic nerve cross-sectional area, while secondary outcomes will include skin-to-nerve distance and straight leg raise test performance. The study is designed to investigate immediate changes in sciatic nerve structure and function following the interventions.
