To explore the challenges in predicting cancer survival and the communication of uncertainty by oncologists to patients.
Literature review on cancer survival predictions
Analysis of communication methods used by oncologists
Evaluation of patient experiences regarding uncertainty.
Survival predictions in cancer are highly variable due to numerous influencing factors.
Oncologists struggle to effectively communicate uncertainty to their patients.
Patients often feel the impact of uncertainty in their treatment decisions.
