This study, based on conservation of resources (CORs) theory, explores how undergraduates’ future time perspective (FTP) affects their perception of future job insecurity (FJI). It also examines how individual resources (proactive personality, PP) and external resources (social capital, SC) moderate this effect. A two-wave survey of 241 students in Fujian, China, found that FTP is positively correlated to FJI. The three-way interaction analysis shows that high levels of both PP and SC can reduce the impact of FTP on FJI. The study discusses theoretical, practical implications, and future research directions.
