ABSTRACT This article focuses on the issue of predefined‐time performance constrains fuzzy adaptive secure control for nonlinear vehicle platoon system under DoS and FDI attacks. First, fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) are utilized to estimate unknown nonlinear dynamics. A switching state observer is designed to estimate the state information of the leader vehicle, which enables handling of the DoS attacks occurring in the inter‐vehicle communication links. By using predefined time performance functions to constrain the spacing error, both the transient and steady‐state performance of the platoon system can be ensured. Then, through analyzing the mathematical expectation of random FDI attack signals, under the framework of backstepping, a robust intelligent adaptive secure performance constraint control method is proposed. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, the developed control method can ensure all signals in the vehicle platoon system keep bounded, and the spacing errors can be constrained within a preset range in predefined time. Finally, simulation studies are provided to verify the availability of the proposed control strategy and theory.
