Online tool compares costs of TB testing methods, supporting budget decisions for health programs.
An online, open access cost comparison tool for presumptive tuberculosis testing using low complexity automated nucleic acid amplification tests (LCaNAAT) and near point of care (NPOCs) molecular tests This tool was developed to support national tuberculosis (TB) control program managers in comparing the costs and estimating the potential cost savings of different diagnostic strategies and thus guide procurement and budget decisions. Specifically, it facilitates the estimation of the costs of testing presumptive TB cases using either near-point-of-care (NPOC) devices (such as MiniDock) or low-complexity automated nucleic acid amplification tests (LCaNAATs) such as Xpert MTB/RIF Ultra.
