Clinical observation assesses corneal changes in one eye while fitting a contact lens on the other, indicating potential impacts.
One eye for each of three patients was fitted with a contact lens and both eyes were clinically monitored. No significant keratometric change was found for the contralateral eye, but central corneal clouding and refractive changes were. The fitted eye (lens removed) had significant keratometric changes central corneal clouding, and refractive changes.
