This document presents an offer of curated datasets, data sources, and related research materials in exchange for a research or study position. The materials are offered by Mr. Jan Lochman, a graduate in Life Sciences, who has been engaged since 2018 in the fields of monument preservation, architecture, and public art of the second half of the 20th century. Through his long-term work in popularizing architecture and art, as well as in rescue and documentation activities, he has assembled collections of materials with both national and international relevance. The datasets on offer include: (1) a digitized and structured database of artworks realized in Czechoslovakia within the framework of the “percentage for art” principle; (2) a database of works by the Czech sculptor Sylva Lacinová and her artistic context, including potential influences such as Vincent Makovský and Henry Moore; and (3) a dataset of wooden prefabricated houses constructed mainly in the 1940s and 1950s, locally referred to as “Finnish houses”. This dataset covers clusters in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. In addition, further data sources are available for developing datasets focused on the architecture of the second half of the 20th century, and on building materials. Finally, the research may be supplemented by several rescued works obtained within the framework of the “Saving art in architecture” program, which Mr. Lochman led. In case of interest, please contact Mr. Lochman by e-mail. One possible scenario involves transferring data to the host institution in exchange for a research or educational position; another involves continuing the ongoing work and research within the institution. The specific terms of cooperation are open to further negotiation.
