This research investigates electrochemical properties to optimize supercapacitor electrodes, showcasing benefits for energy storage applications.
Electrochemical energy is a necessary component of the clean energy portfolio. High-performing, ecologically friendly renewable energy storage devices are therefore becoming more and more necessary. Modifying the optimal electrodes material for supercapacitor construction has been the subject of massive attempts during the last 10 years. Global research efforts have reportedly been made to address this, and super capacitors’ basic and practical components have developed swiftly. The effect of conducting polymer PPy on rGO/Ni-Sr Ferrite composite, an active electrode that can be utilized to create super capacitors, is briefly explained here. rGO/Ni-SrFe 2 O 4 was synthesized using the Sol-Gel technique and PPy was synthesized via Chemical Oxidative Polymerization. Using XRD, SEM, and FTIR, the synthesized composites were studied. To investigate the electrochemical properties of the composites, Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD) were performed in 3 M KOH. The outcomes confirmed that the optimized PPy/rGO/Ni-SrFe 2 O 4 electrode offers a significant specific capacitance on a spectrum of 10 2 –10 3 Fg −1 at minimal current density, with excellent rate capability and coulombic effectiveness. In addition, when conducting polymeric polypyrrole was incorporated, the specific capacitance for rGO/Ni-Sr ferrite escalated from 516.8 F/g to 900.7 F/g. Furthermore, due to its exceptional electrochemical characteristics, the hybrid material that was created is a very attractive option for energy storage uses. This study intends to open the door for the development of cutting-edge materials with strengthened performance, expanding the field of potential energy storage applications by elucidating the synergistic effects of reduced Graphene Oxide, Polypyrrole and Ni-Sr ferrite in electrodes.
