This investigation reports high-field transport properties and magnetoresistance behavior in SrCdBi2, suggesting complex electron dynamics.
We have investigated high-field magnetotransport in the non-magnetic Bi square-net compound SrCdBi2, which shows a resistivity anomaly at Ts ∼ 210 K likely associated with structural transition. Magnetoresistance measurements up to 60 T reveal large, non-saturating positive magnetoresistance and clear Shubnikov–de Haas (SdH) oscillations at low temperatures. Fourier analyses identify multiple SdH frequencies (∼ 100–2000 T) in the ground state, indicating a complex Fermi surface below Ts.
