This review analyzes resilience strategies for distribution networks amid sandstorms, highlighting key advancements and research gaps.
The threat of extreme weather events such as severe sandstorms to the safe and stable operation of distribution networks has become increasingly prominent. To improve the disaster response capability of distribution networks, this paper reviews the research progress on resilience assessment and enhancement strategies of distribution networks in sandstorm environments. Firstly, based on the core connotation of distribution network resilience, from the two perspectives of system performance and characteristics of distribution networks, a multi-dimensional resilience assessment index system is sorted out. This has gradually broken through the limitations of a single index and enriched the ideas for resilience assessment of distribution networks. Secondly, aiming at the disaster-causing mechanism of sandstorms, the line fault probability model under the action of strong wind loads and the output attenuation model of wind power and photovoltaic power generation under the influence of sand and dust are summarized. In terms of resilience enhancement strategies, the discussion is carried out around the three stages of pre-disaster prevention, in-disaster emergency response, and post-disaster recovery, forming a multi-dimensional strategy framework. Finally, It points out the shortcomings of current research and analyzes the key issues in the field of future distribution network resilience research providing theoretical support for building highly resilient distribution networks.
