Introduction: Staphylococcus saprophyticus is a frequent cause of urinary tract infections, particularly in young women. Previous data from Dorevitch Pathology (Chua et al, 2023) were limited by study size but did demonstrate that resistance to first-line agents was infrequent. In this study, antimicrobial susceptibility of S. saprophyticus isolates from Queensland and Northern NSW over a 12-month period has been reviewed.
