Abstract

Background: DICER1 syndrome is a rare autosomal-dominant cancer predisposition disorder defined by a germline-encoded pathogenic variant of the DICER1 gene. The Dicer protein processes miRNA for the RISC/RNAi system, involved in regulating expression of up to 30% of genes.
