Abstract

Introduction: Nodular fasciitis (NF) is a benign fibroblastic and myofibroblastic neoplasm. 1,2 It consists of spindle stellate cells with a loose fascicular/storiform pattern, areas of cystic degeneration and a myxoid/collagenous extracellular matrix. NF typically arises in the extremities, trunk, head and neck, with breast involvement being rare. We present a case of NF of the breast, requiring exclusion of a malignant spindle cell lesion.
