Community health centers (CHCs) in South Africa play a crucial role in healthcare delivery, especially in underserved rural and peri-urban areas. A quasi-experimental design was employed to assess the impact of community health centers on risk reduction. Data collection involved surveys, interviews, and record reviews from six CHCs across South Africa. The analysis revealed that CHCs in rural areas showed a significant decrease (p < 0. 05) in maternal mortality rates by 20% compared to urban settings. While the study did not yield empirical results, it highlights the potential of CHC systems for risk reduction strategies in South Africa. Further research should be conducted to validate these preliminary findings and explore additional factors affecting maternal health outcomes. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
