Abstract

Thiazole, a versatile five-membered heterocyclic scaffold containing sulfur and nitrogen atoms, has emerged as a pivotal pharmacophore in medicinal chemistry due to its unique chemical properties and broad spectrum of biological activities. Recent studies have revealed that thiazole derivatives possess potent antimicrobial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, making them promising candidates for therapeutic development. The unique electronic structure of the thiazole ring facilitates strong interactions with various biological targets, enabling modulation of key enzymes and signaling pathways involved in disease progression.
