What is man?

In this paper, we explore the question of humanity, which has been one of the main questions throughout the history of philosophy. We approached the research through the teachings of three important thinkers - Plato, Kant and Scheler. The reason for choosing these philosophers is the importance they gave to anthropological problems on the one hand, and the continuity of the topic from ancient times to modern times. In Kant?s famous questions - what can I know, what should I do and what can I hope for, which refer to his three Critiques, the crucial anthropological question - what is man is contained. The basic difficulty that ?tormented? all thinkers is contained in the mystery of human nature, but also of nature in general, i.e. the unavailability of an indisputable answer to the question about being, which represents an almost insurmountable obstacle in philosophical research. In this work, we primarily tried to find some possible answers to the riddle of human existence through the thoughts of Plato, Kant and Scheler.
