Proposes a framework to enhance sustainability and governance in logistics infrastructure through PPPs, indicating its significance.
The development of sustainable logistics infrastructure increasingly relies on effective public–private partnerships (PPPs) to balance economic, environmental, and social objectives. While traditional infrastructure planning prioritizes operational efficiency and financial returns, emerging frameworks emphasize the integration of sustainability and governance indicators to ensure long-term resilience and alignment with international development agendas. This study proposes a conceptual framework for assessing PPP-driven sustainable logistics initiatives. Drawing on key insights from Ahmadova and Mammadov (2025) and broader research on supply chain performance, governance, and sustainability, the framework highlights how PPPs can enhance strategic alignment, improve accountability, and facilitate measurable contributions toward global sustainability goals. Findings suggest that systematically embedding governance and sustainability metrics into PPP planning not only strengthens infrastructure effectiveness but also supports policy coherence and stakeholder engagement across complex logistics networks.
