Adolescent sexual behaviour in Southern Tanzania is influenced by various factors including HIV prevention programmes. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining pre- and post-intervention surveys with qualitative interviews to measure behavioural changes and explore programme perceptions among adolescents and educators. Risky sexual behaviour decreased by 15% (p < 0. 05) in schools implementing the prevention programmes compared to control groups; themes included improved knowledge on HIV transmission and safer sex practices. School-based HIV prevention programmes significantly reduced risky sexual behaviors among adolescents over two years, with notable improvements in knowledge of HIV transmission methods. Continue support for these evidence-based interventions and incorporate feedback from participants to enhance future programming effectiveness. HIV Prevention Programmes, Sexual Behaviour, Adolescents, Southern Tanzania Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
