District hospitals in Senegal are pivotal for healthcare delivery, yet their operational efficiency varies significantly. A difference-in-differences model was applied to assess changes in efficiency over time among district hospitals, controlling for potential confounders. Efficiency gains were observed with an estimated increase of 20% in resource utilization across participating districts after the intervention period. The application of difference-in-differences methodology provided a robust framework to measure efficiency improvements in Senegalese district hospitals.
