Adolescent girls in rural Ethiopian villages often face nutritional challenges that impact their growth and development. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 10 randomly selected rural villages across Ethiopia. Data were collected using a standardised questionnaire to measure dietary intake, physical activity levels, and anthropometric measurements such as height and weight. The analysis revealed that adolescent girls who participated in the nutritional counseling programmes showed a significant improvement in their Body Mass Index (BMI) scores compared to those who did not receive the programme. Specifically, 72% of participants had BMI scores within the healthy range after the intervention. Nutritional counseling programmes appear effective in improving adolescent girls' growth and development in rural Ethiopian villages. Further research should be conducted to evaluate long-term impacts and explore scalability of these interventions. Implementation strategies for broader adoption should also be developed.
