Microfinance institutions (MFIs) have emerged as a significant tool for economic empowerment in developing countries, particularly targeting marginalized groups such as women entrepreneurs. The study employs a qualitative research approach involving semi-structured interviews with MFI clients and community leaders. Data analysis was conducted using thematic content analysis. Interviews revealed that MFIs provided essential financial support, enabling women entrepreneurs to invest in their businesses, thereby increasing their income by an average of 30% over two years. MFIs have played a crucial role in enhancing the economic empowerment of female entrepreneurs in Ethiopia through targeted financial assistance and capacity building. Sustainability initiatives should be integrated into MFI operations to ensure long-term support for women's businesses, while also fostering community engagement and local development.
