Export Objective: Hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures performed today. Excess or unwanted hair is a common problem affecting both genders. Hair removal procedures are now more frequently performed using lasers; which represents a significant advance in the treatment of unwanted hair. Methods: A total of 40 female patients, aged 18–40 years were subjected to treatment diode laser 810nm with pulse repetition rate of 7Hz and fluence of 17J/cm2, while intense pulse light emitted wavelengths of 565–1400nm, pulse duration of 1–2.5ms, and fluence of 4J/cm2. Results: Postoperative clinical assessments for tested parameters including discomfort and pain, oedema, temperature, redness, aesthetic achievement and assessment of overall satisfaction showed significant improvement in cases of diode laser with a marked reduction in postoperative complications. Conclusions: The diode laser 808nm was highly effective in the reduction of hair density, and prolongation of the time of hair regrowth.
