Comparative mineralogical-geochemical analysis identifies features of molybdenum deposits, suggesting important insights for resource classification.
A comparative mineralogical-geochemical analysis has been applied to stockwork molybdenum deposits and occurrences in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. As a result, distinctive features of commercial and non-commercial mineralization have been established. It has been shown that in mineralogical-geochemical characteristics the investigated non-commercial occurrences are close to lower ore parts of commercial deposits. Geological characteristics of the industrial molybdenum mineralization at different levels of the erosion cut has been given.
