The reliability of municipal infrastructure assets in Nigeria is a critical concern for urban development and public safety. A randomized field trial was conducted to assess the reliability of municipal infrastructure assets in Nigeria. The study used statistical models to analyse data from randomly selected sites representing different urban settings. In the evaluated road network, there were statistically significant improvements (p < 0. 05) in system reliability after implementing maintenance interventions compared to baseline conditions. The randomized field trial provided insights into the effectiveness of maintenance strategies on municipal infrastructure systems in Nigeria.
