One strong aspect contributing to students’ employability is the concept of psychological literacy, which requires the application of psychological knowledge. Psychological education, however, often focuses heavily on course content and little on its applicability. Three publications focus on instructional formats that aim to facilitate students’ recognition of everyday situations in which psychological knowledge is relevant, enabling them to choose appropriate behavior or strategies in these situations and act accordingly. The research of this dissertation shows that fostering the application of psychological knowledge and psychological literacy can be achieved through interventions that require relatively little resources. Further research is needed to continue development of the proposed concepts and evaluate them experimentally.
