Smart agriculture practices have been identified as crucial for enhancing productivity and sustainability in smallholder farming systems globally. However, their adoption among Zimbabwe's coffee farmers is limited, with significant variability observed across different regions. The analysis will employ qualitative and quantitative methods, including literature review, expert consultations, and econometric modelling to assess the factors influencing adoption rates and economic benefits. The theoretical framework provides insights into the adoption dynamics of smart agriculture among smallholders and offers evidence-based recommendations for enhancing practice uptake and economic viability. To promote widespread adoption, targeted interventions should focus on improving access to technology, training programmes, and financial support mechanisms. Policy-makers can leverage these findings to design more effective agricultural development strategies.
