A genetic and mathematical model of formation of differentiated intrusive traps is proposed for the northwestern Siberian Platform. The differentiated intrusions are shown to be open, long-lived, intermediate chambers with large magma volumes passing through them, rather than blind bodies. The differentiation takes place as the magma velocity in the chamber drops by 5−6 orders and becomes commensurate with decrease in precipitation velocity of liquified sulfides and heavier silicate liquid, autoliths and xenoliths, intergrowths and crystals of olivine, and so on. By solving the inverse problem in terms of the supposed model, local and regional forecast of Cu-Ni ores is possible on a principally new basis.
