Discusses recreating lecanomancy rituals in education, suggesting enhanced student engagement.
Recreating ancient divination, in this case lecanomancy, to accompany a critical reading of ancient sources describing this kind of ritual action can help inform not just your understanding of this type of material, but also better engage with students when looking at this. This paper is a write up of the research I performed to discuss ancient lecanomancy with students along with some additional research, as well as an outline of how the recreation worked. This has not undergone peer review.
