Clinically relevant low-doses of ionizing radiation produced modest impairments in sperm functional and chromatin integrity without detectable DNA breakage or oxidative injury. These findings support the relative safety of low-dose therapeutic exposures on mature spermatozoa. This in vitro model also offers a platform for further exploration of sperm radiosensitivity.
