This white paper documents an observed interaction in which a conversational AI system shifted from third-person reference to first-person narration when reflecting a user’s thoughts and experiences. The document defines point-of-view drift, analyzes how first-person narrative framing introduces narrative co-ownership and boundary softening, and records the effects of narrative substitution on authorship clarity and cognitive sovereignty.
