In November 1887, “a promising boy” by the name of Edward Mnganga from the Latin School at Mariannhill presented himself to Father Franz Pfanner, the Prior of Mariannhill Monastery, who subsequently decided to send him to Rome to study for the priesthood.
George Sombe Mukuka (Thu,) studied this question.
