This study investigates the synergistic effects of Co3O4 and Co3O4@GO electrodes performance for supercapacitor. The synthesis method involving sol–gel process followed by heat treatment at a higher temperature. XRD and Raman spectra shows cubic structure of Co3O4 and Co3O4@GO at 350°C. FE-SEM images reveal the particles with 30−60 nm in size. The formation of cobalt oxide and graphene oxide is confirmed by FTIR analysis. Electrochemical studies were conducted using 2M KOH electrolyte, and the results show a high specific capacitance of 721, and 901 F g−1 for the Co3O4 and Co3O4@GO electrodes, respectively for 4 Ag–1. Cobalt oxide exemplifies efficient charge storage ability deducible that the synthesized cobalt oxide substantial capacitance capability follows with and supports the energy storage demands.
