Two previously undescribed fusaric acid derivatives ( 1 and 2 ) and three known analogs ( 3 – 5 ) were isolated from the culture extract of Fusarium hechiense RH-A63. The planar structures of these compounds were elucidated through comprehensive analysis of their NMR and HR-ESI-MS data. In addition, the absolute configuration of compound 2 was determined by specific rotation comparison. Compounds 1 – 5 demonstrated notable phytotoxicity against cotton leaves, presenting promising molecular scaffolds for developing sustainable biocontrol solutions. • First discovery of two new fusaric acid derivatives ( 1–2 ) from Fusarium hechiense . • Complete structural characterization of all isolated compounds ( 1–5 ). • Potent phytotoxicity against cotton leaves, unveiling promising biocontrol scaffolds.
