Abstract

Introduction: The development of latent fingerprints is an essential technique used in forensic science for the identification of an individual or criminals. Carbon and magnesium based and fluorescent powders are only a few of the components used to make conventional fingerprint powders. These powders can, however, be overpriced and frequently are not readily available. Utilizing powdered waste plant material for fingerprint creation has gained popularity in recent years. This is due to the abundance, affordability, and environmental friendliness of waste plant material. A particularly interesting plant waste material for fingerprint development is aloe vera powder. Aloe vera powder has a strong affinity for sweat residues and is nontoxic and nonirritating. Materials and Methods: In this literature, a study on the development of fingerprints using aloe vera powder is presented. The efficiency of aloe vera powder in creating latent fingerprints on various surfaces was examined in the study. Results: The study’s findings demonstrated that aloe vera powder was just as successful at revealing latent fingerprints as conventional fingerprint powders. The results of this investigation indicate that aloe vera powder is a possible efficient replacement for conventional fingerprint powders. Conclusion: A safe, effective, and ecological selection for fingerprint development is aloe vera powder. It becomes a useful tool for forensic scientists as an outcome.
